This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the

Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through

central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.



.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight



A Heat Advisory is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM this evening.



A Flood Watch for the potential for flash flooding has been issued

from 3PM this afternoon until midnight for areas along the I-95

corridor between Baltimore and Fredericksburg. Isolated instances

of flash flooding are possible elsewhere, but highest confidence

is in the watch area. 



Additionally, a few thunderstorms could be severe, producing 

locally damaging wind gusts and large hail.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

Scattered instances of flash flooding are possible this afternoon

and evening, particularly across northern Virginia up to north-

central Maryland.



Numerous thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into the

evening. A few thunderstorms could be severe, producing locally

damaging wind gusts and large hail.
