This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and

portions of north central Kansas.



.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.



Flooding from heavy rainfall that fell across the region 

Wednesday and Wednesday night is being observed across portions of

south central Nebraska. Please refer to the latest flood 

statements for additional information. 



A few thunderstorms will be possible southeast of the Tri-Cities 

this afternoon through early evening. Severe weather is not 

expected.



Finally, fog development is expected during the late overnight

hours, potentially reducing visibilities below 1 mile in spots

before daybreak Friday.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.



Patchy dense fog, with visibilities below 1 mile, will be possible

to start the day across the area Friday. Any fog that develops

should erode by mid to late morning.



Areal and river flooding impacts are expected to continue into at

least the daytime hours Friday for areas within the Platte River 

valley corridor downstream of Wood River. Please refer to the 

latest flood statements for additional information. 



Finally, thunderstorm chances return to the a very small portion

of the forecast area northwest of the Tri-Cities Friday night.

If realized, a strong to marginally severe thunderstorm will be

possible. Additional thunderstorm chances, with the possibility

for strong to severe thunderstorms, returns to much of south

central Nebraska Saturday night. More widespread thunderstorm

activity is possible Sunday night, with off and on chances for

additional thunderstorm activity through much of next week. At

this point in time, it is too early to determine the potential 

for severe weather beyond Saturday night.
