This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east 

central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.



.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.



Isolated thunderstorms are possible into mid evening over central and

southeast IL, and again overnight over the IL river valley. A few of

these storms could become strong to possibly severe until sunset with

damaging wind gusts the primary concern along with locally heavy 

rains mainly from I-72 north.



Hot and humid conditions continue across central Illinois through

early this evening with heat indices peaking from 100 to 107 

degrees. Heat advisory through 7 pm today across central and 

southeast IL, and continues through 7 pm Friday from Danville to 

Charleston/Mattoon to Effingham southeast when afternoon heat indices

should peak from 100 to 105 degrees. 



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.



Daily chances for scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will

be possible through Monday.



.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...



Spotter activation may be needed until sunset from I-72 north.



Expected storm motion is toward the northeast around 25 mph.
