This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri

Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.



.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.



Weather hazards expected...



  Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk.

  Limited lightning risk.

  Limited excessive heat risk.

  Elevated excessive rainfall risk



DISCUSSION...



There is a 20-40% chance for isolated to scattered thunderstorms

this afternoon and evening, mainly west of Highway 65. Storms

should remain sub-severe, but may drop brief heavy rainfall. 



Heat index values today will top out in the mid to upper 90s.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.



Heat index values in the middle to upper 90s are possible Friday 

into early next week.



Thunderstorm chances are between 30 and 50% daily from Friday 

into early next week.
