much of Eastern Oklahoma.

	AREA...Along and west of Highway 75 in Northeast Oklahoma.

    AREA...Along and northwest of Interstate 44 in Northeast Oklahoma.

	AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.

	ONSET...Ongoing.



DISCUSSION...

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon

and evening primarily northwest of I-44. A storm or two may

produce strong to marginally severe wind gusts and heavy rainfall,

however, widespread severe weather is not expected. Hot and humid

conditions typical of the time of year are expected again with 

heat index values reaching mid 90s to around 100 degrees.

FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.



EXTENDED DISCUSSION...

The summertime pattern with daily thunderstorm potential will 

continue through the weekend before the subtropical ridge shifts 

back to the western United States. Daytime heat index values will 

remain in the 95 to 103 degree range through Monday. A frontal 

boundary will slip into the region early next week to provide a 

focus for more widespread thunderstorms activity.
