An expansive area of high pressure aloft will maintain hot and

humid conditions across the region. A chance for afternoon and 

evening showers and thunderstorms continue through the end of the

week. A backdoor cold front will drop across the Eastern Shore

and NE portion of the forecast area through Friday, bringing dew 

points down a few degrees in that area through the end of the week.
