Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina

and East Central Georgia

National Weather Service Columbia SC

222 PM EDT Thu Jun 26 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Temperatures are a bit cooler than yesterday but it remains humid

this afternoon as a chance for storms exists toward the western

Midlands from storms forming in the upstate, but confidence has

generally lowered in shower and storm chances today as the better

activity keeps north of the CWA. Friday brings another warm and

muggy day with afternoon/evening shower and storm chances before

the weekend then sees a more typical summer pattern into next week.

Winds through the period generally remain light and out of the south

to southwest.

Fog Potential Tonight: Patchy fog possible tonight.
