BAHAMAS PUBLIC FORECAST

BAHAMAS PUBLIC FORECAST FOR TONIGHT, TOMORROW AND THE NEXT SIX (6)

DAYS, ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY AT 6:00 P.M.

EDT, THURSDAY, JUNE 26, 2025. THE NEXT SCHEDULED FORECAST WILL BE

ISSUED AT 6:00 A.M. EDT TOMORROW.

WARNING IN EFFECT: The Northern, Northwest and portions of the

Central Bahamas remain under a Severe Weather Warning tonight and

residents in these areas are urged to continue to monitor any and all

severe weather statements issued by the Bahamas Department of

Meteorology.

GENERAL SITUATION: Showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect

the Northern, Northwest and Central islands through tonight due to

the combination of multi-layered troughing and a moist unstable air

mass across the area. Expect the weather conditions to gradually

improve late tonight through tomorrow morning as the system exits the

Northern islands. High pressure will begin to build across the island

chain by late Friday into Sunday before another round of showers

moves over the islands on Monday.

SPECIAL WEATHER NOTES: Heavy rainfall events and thunderstorms are

possible across all areas, therefore residents in low-lying and flood

prone areas should exercise caution. There is a high risk of

dangerous rip currents, especially for eastern and southern

shorelines of the Central and Southeast Bahamas. Beachgoers and

swimmers are urged not to enter the waters in these areas today, and

should exercise extreme caution elsewhere as winds gradually

increase.
