.SHORT TERM...

(Today and tonight)

Issued at 404 AM CDT Thu Jun 26 2025

The upper ridge will remain centered over the eastern U.S.the

next 24 hours, with an upper trough over the western states. This

pattern will support mainly dry and warm weather again today, with

occasional breezy conditions by afternoon. Monsoon moisture and

convection will again be possible across eastern New Mexico and

far West Texas this afternoon and evening. Some of the latest

CAM's show some of this activity possibly reaching far western

portions of the Big Country this evening before dissipating.

Confidence not high with this scenario but will go ahead and add a

low mentionable POP across this area this evening. Otherwise, dry

conditions will prevail today, with afternoon highs in the low to

mid 90s and lows tonight in the low to mid 70s.

.LONG TERM...

(Friday through Wednesday)

Issued at 145 AM CDT Thu Jun 26 2025

Our area will be under weak ridging aloft through the end of this

week. Daily highs will be near normal with overnight lows a few

degrees above normal. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy, and

winds will from the south to southeast and mostly at 5-15 mph.

Early next week, an upper level ridge will extend from the Four

Corners area into the Intermountain West. With a relative weakness

in the height field aloft over our area, this may allow for a few

showers and thunderstorms to develop in portions of our area. At

this time, we are carrying low (20-30) PoPs Sunday evening and

Sunday night, and again Monday afternoon into Tuesday. This will

be for mainly the Big Country, but may extend farther south into

our area Monday afternoon into Monday night. Have uncertainty with

PoPs and to some extent with temperatures in the early to middle

parts of next week. At this point going with daily highs mostly in

the mid 90s, with a few upper 90s possible in parts of the Big

Country and Concho Valley.
