Main impacts today will be breezier conditions with sustained 

winds of 10 to 20 mph this afternoon across nearly all of 

southeast Idaho with gusts 20 to 30 mph and isolated afternoon 

thunderstorms in the Lost River Range areas and eastern 

mountains. Expect the same conditions Friday with the same 

increase in afternoon winds to 10 to 20 mph with the 20 to 30 

mph gusts and isolated thunderstorms again in the Centennial 

Mountains but less coverage expected overall. High temperatures 

both today and Friday will be in the 70s to lower 80s mountains 

and 80s to near 90 lower elevations.

Saturday through Monday are expected to be dry with 

temperatures warming significantly Monday and Tuesday. Zonal 

flow will keep breezy conditions and the 10 to 20 mph afternoon 

winds with gusts 20 to 30 mph going with highs again in the 70s 

mountains and 80s valleys. Upper ridge builds overhead Sunday 

into Monday. Highs Sunday in the 80s mountains and 80s to lower 

90s valleys with highs Monday 80s mountains and 90s valleys. 

Winds much lighter Sunday and Monday under ridge with dry 

conditions also expected. Upper ridge moves east Tuesday and 

expect more monsoonal moisture to move into Idaho on southerly 

flow aloft and will see more shower and thunderstorm activity 

both days. It will remain very warm with highs remaining in the 

80s mountains and 90s valleys.

VFR and dry conditions will continue into Friday morning across

eastern Idaho, as mid and high level clouds build in out of the

west. Afternoon wind increases are expected at all terminals 

today with gusts to around 20 kts, ahead of lighter winds back 

overnight. Any isolated showers and thunderstorms today will 

remain confined to the Central Mountains and Continental Divide 

region, with a 10-20% chance of any activity reaching KDIJ.

Main impacts today will be afternoon wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph

across most zones. Will see afternoon thunderstorms mainly in 

zones 475, 476, and 411. Will have widespread minimum humidity 

below 20 percent with some below 15 percent in zone 410 and 427.

Will see similar conditions Friday with again wind gusts in the

20 to 30 mph range once again with most isolated thunderstorm 

activity in zone 411. Minimum humidity mainly above 15 percent 

with a bit more moisture than today. By Monday will have 

widespread below 15 percent humidity under upper level ridge.
