  Southeastern Macon County in western North Carolina...

  Southwestern Transylvania County in western North Carolina...

  Southeastern Jackson County in western North Carolina...

  North central Oconee County in Upstate South Carolina...



* Until 115 PM EDT.



* At 1212 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 19 miles north of

  Walhalla, or 4 miles southeast of Cashiers, moving southwest at 10

  mph.



  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.



* Locations impacted include...

  Highlands, Sky Valley, Cashiers, Gorges State Park, Oconee State

  Park, Mountain Rest, Sapphire, Bad Creek, Pine Mountain, and

  Whiteside Mountain.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
