...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN PIKE COUNTY THROUGH

545 PM EDT...



At 520 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over

Meta, or 7 miles north of Pikeville, moving northeast at 10 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Pikeville, Coal Run Village, Piso, Meta, Gulnare, Heisey, Varney,

Raccoon, Zebulon, and Sidney.



THIS INCLUDES U.S. Highway 119 in Pike County between mile markers 1

and 14.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
