...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL MARTIN AND NORTHEASTERN

PIKE COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM EDT...



At 546 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong

thunderstorms over Kimper, or 9 miles east of Pikeville, moving east

at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Forest Hills, Warfield, Beauty, Huddy, Meta, Turkey Creek, Jamboree,

Pilgrim, Belfry, Coalpoint, Whitepost, Hode, Conder, Piso, Raccoon,

Board Tree, McClure, Job, Lovely, and Woodman.





PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
